Camelias come in many sizes and colors. They range in price from $39 to $65 each. All of these plants are available in the shade area of Vally View's greenhouse.

"Paris" heuchera can only be obtained at Shooting Star, but there are over 10 different colors and varieties of heuchera at Valley view, each one well suited to this location.

Suggest you complete the perennial garden in Spring. You can plant the foundation rosemary and sword ferns, but I suggest you wait on the others for best selection and survival.

This meadow look uses Perennial Nepeta - cat mint (blue flowers, May & Aug), Calluna heather - orange, evergreen, and ornamental grass of your choosing. This shows Mexican feather grass, which must be trimmed of floresence, if it is not to become invasive. You could also use Pennisetum rubrum, which has dark red flowers. Daffodils have vanished and are replaced by Santa Barbara Daisy, flowering Spring-frost.

This design makes extensive use of ferns, heuchera, and other shade-lovers,
Fence has evergreen camellia next to it. Use campanula or cranesbill geranium for ground-cover. Needs only a bit of cutting back once per year. Pathway is optional.

Burning bush has been replaced by evergreen rosemary which blooms in spring (profuse blue flowers) and will be a better wall in winter. Daffodils will bloom until April when they will be replaced by Santa Barbara daisy which blooms May-October. The mulch is shown to highlight the plants. I suggest lots of ground cover to ameliorate the debris challenges.
